The new O’Donoghue Centre for Theatre and Performance at the National University of Ireland, Galway converted the protected former IMI Factory into a new black box theatre with rehearsal spaces, workshop, seminar rooms, backstage stores and changing areas.  The new theatre located in a cylindrical drum sits in contrast to the original pattern of the exposed timber roof structure and cast iron columns.
