The project involves the refurbishment of the existing Credit Union along with a proposed new 7000 sq ft purpose built extension providing fresh new look public service zones, and all associated back of house accommodation. The design objective was to create a contemporary two-storey building maximising land-use and providing a compact building envelope. The scheme extends the existing building, establishing distinct public and private areas and rationalising circulation, generating a bright-uncluttered work environment with the optimum level of natural light and ventilation. The building organises private workspace to the south (rear), general administration, and public spaces to the north (front). The building form concentrates circulation space centrally to allow movement with efficiency and ease.
